Labradorite
belongs to a group of minerals called feldspars that are commonly found in the
earth's crust. When labradorite is polished and it is turned to the light a
vivid blue sheen appears, a 'shimmering' light called 'labradoresence'. The
name labradorite refers to the region of Labrador in Canada where the stone was
first discovered in the eighteenth century.
Attributes:
Labradorite
is a highly mystical and protective stone, a bringer of light. It raises
consciousness and connects with universal energies from the aura and prevents
energy leakage. It forms a barrier to negative energies shed during therapy. It
can assist you with past life regression.
Labradorite
aligns the physical and etheric bodies and accesses spiritual purpose. It
raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies into the physical body.
This stone will stimulate your intuition and psychic gifts including the art of
'right timing', bringing messages from the unconscious mind to the surface and
helps you understand them.
This is a
stone with relevance to Shamanism, the most ancient form of spirituality on our
planet where healing is sought in parallel planes of existence by traveling
between different states of consciousness. This stones sheen symbolises the
mysterious elusive qualities of these other realms of existence.
Healing:
Labradorite
treats disorders of the eyes and brain, relieves stress, and regulates metabolism.
It treats cols, gout and rheumatism, balances hormones and can help relieve
menstrual tension and lower blood pressure.
